NFL Roundup: Broncos Mount Fourth-Quarter Rally Versus Eagles, Ravens Suffer Historic Home Loss

Broncos Overcome Eagles in Thrilling Finish

Bo Nix found an 11-yard scoring throw and the running back contributed another ground touchdown in the final period as the Broncos overcame a two-touchdown disadvantage to hand the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the season. The Broncos deflected Jalen Hurts' final pass on the contest's last snap to send the Super Bowl champions to just their second defeat in their previous 22 outings. The Broncos (three wins and two losses) got fortunate in their comeback when the Eagles had a late fourth-down conversion called back on a formation infraction called on running back Saquon Barkley.

Texans Dominate Depleted Ravens in Record Win

CJ Stroud threw for 244 yards and four scoring throws, and Houston (2-3) strolled to a decisive victory over a depleted Baltimore team, matching both the most lopsided road win in Texans' history and the most lopsided home loss in Baltimore's annals. Baltimore (one win and four losses) were without two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, and that was far from their only problem. Defensive standouts Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith and Marlon Humphrey all missed the game, and the Ravens already were depleted on that side of the ball because of a cervical issue that ended Nnamdi Madubuike's season. The Ravens were also without All-Pro fullback Patrick Ricard and offensive lineman Stanley.

Colts Rout Raiders in One-Sided Affair

Indianapolis' running back ran for three rushing scores and a two-pointer, and Daniel Jones passed for two touchdown passes as the Indianapolis Colts routed the Las Vegas Raiders. The 34-point margin was Indianapolis' largest since 2013. Jones finished 20 of 29 for 212 yards and improved to four wins and one loss as the starting quarterback this season, exceeding his total wins over the previous two years with the New York Giants. Taylor carried 17 attempts for 66 rushing yards and grabbed three receptions for 20 yards. Indianapolis converted multiple takeaways into touchdowns. Las Vegas dropped to four wins and one loss.

Cowboys Soar Past Jets in High-Scoring Game

Dallas' quarterback threw four scoring throws, guiding the Dallas Cowboys to an easy victory over the New York Jets. The Cowboys scored on two long marches in the second period, despite missing key linemen on the offensive line. Javonte Williams ran for 135 rushing yards and a score and also hauled in a TD pass. Dallas, now two wins, two losses, and a tie, bounced back from a high-scoring draw against Green Bay last week. New York are still without a victory at 0-5 in their new coach's first season as the leader.

Minnesota Vikings 21–17 Cleveland Browns

Vikings receiver Jordan Addison grabbed a short scoring reception from the quarterback with 25 seconds left to give Minnesota victory over the Cleveland Browns at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This methodical march gave the Minnesota (3-2) a much-needed win on their historic international road trip, which began with a narrow defeat to the Steelers in Ireland last Sunday. This also marred Dillon Gabriel's first NFL start, as the Cleveland first-year player positioned his squad (one win and four losses) in position to win by throwing two scores. Another first-year player Quinshon Judkins rushed for 110 yards on 23 carries. Wentz overcame a shoulder injury that briefly sent him to the locker room and directed two touchdown marches in the second half.

Panthers Stage Epic Comeback Against Dolphins

Carolina's quarterback passed for two scores and Rico Dowdle rushed for 206 yards and a touchdown as the Panthers came back against the Miami Dolphins in their home stadium. The quarterback's short pass to the first-year receiver with under two minutes to go gave the Carolina (two wins and three losses) the decisive advantage as they equaled the biggest rally to secure victory in team history by erasing a 17-point hole. Young had a horrific first quarter, but he ended up 19 completions on 30 attempts for 198 passing yards with one pick. The backup, replacing the sidelined starter, did his work on the ground on 23 attempts, coming up four yards shy of the single-game franchise rushing record. The Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa threw 27 of 36 for 256 passing yards with three scores and Jaylen Waddle gained 110 receiving yards on six receptions and added a score, but the Miami (1-4) fell to 0-3 in away contests.

Saints Secure First Win Under New Coach

New Orleans' quarterback threw a long touchdown to receiver Shaheed, safety Jordan Howden returned a fumble 86 yards for a score, and the Saints beat the error-prone Giants for the Saints' first victory under first-year head coach Moore. Rattler earned his maiden win in 11 career starts, throwing for 225 passing yards without a turnover. Giants rookie QB Jaxson Dart, who won his first career start last week, threw for 202 yards and two scores, but also turned the ball over on three occasions. The Giants gave up possession on five separate plays in all, none more costly than when Bryan Bresee forced a fumble from ball carrier Skattebo, resulting in Howden's touchdown. Each squad are one win and four losses.
