Incoming Women's Tennis Association (WTA) chair Valerie Camillo is familiar with dedicated effort in her previous roles - such as her time on the commercial board for a tourism firm that operates American iconic singer Dolly Parton's tourist attractions.

As well as her contributions regarding Parton's portfolio, Camillo takes over the helm at women's tennis with a wealth of experience in sports and media, having held strategic positions at the world's premier basketball league, the premier ice hockey competition and America's pastime.

Camillo will begin her new role at the WTA this November, succeeding the veteran Steve Simon, after his lengthy leadership wraps up upon his departure.
