Chopper Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Frequented California Coast
A helicopter soaring near a well-attended California coastline unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, ultimately dropping height and crashing into a row of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Recordings uploaded on social media capture the aircraft commencing to spiral above Huntington Beach then descending near the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palms and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Information
Local firefighters stated five persons were taken to hospital comprising two who were in the helicopter and were ârescued from the debrisâ following the incident on that day.
Three persons on the road were injured. Details on their injuries were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
